It is fun to take off and put on. :D

It works as advertised. It decreases the effectiveness of the brake slightly but it lets you shoot near others (think a team environment) safely without distracting or disorienting your partners.

It was developed for a specific reason: Suppressors work better and last longer when attached to a comp/brake vs a flash hider. However if you want to train/work any CQB/Team tactics without the suppressor on, the brake is dangerous. The Diffuser is a viable solution.

Note: Don't take it off right after shooting. Fucker gets HOT quick. Also, the finish isn't great, it scratches easy if you care about that kind of thing.

. Or if you take a class out of state, say in a place like Virginia, everyone else on the line hates you halfway through the day.

Funny thing about scratches, did you know in guitar collector world, people pay extra for guitars that are beat up and look like they are used and abused. The more beat up the more it costs

Looks like a Daniel Defense rail.

Correct, Its the original 10" lite rail. I have a 9" and a 12" Lite III rail going on new builds once I get the time to paint them. I couldn't decide between an M-lok or keymod rail so i went with what has always worked well, plus if DD ever releases their slim rail with m-lok i might swap that on.... DD's barrel nut works with a ton of their rails.

Great solid rails, they're expensive but worth the money IMO.

Mk18 upgraded.  I pulled the RIS II off and replaced it with a CMR.  The weight difference was quite noticeable but the biggest difference was how much more comfortable the tubular design was relative to the quad rail.  The rifle without optic, can, and light came in at 6lbs.  Loaded and with accessories, it comes in at just over 8lbs.
