45Doll 5,873 Posted February 28, 2023 Got an email this morning which I think is an announcement. At least it's the first I heard about it. M&P® FPC | Smith & Wesson (smith-wesson.com)

Krdshrk 3,877 Posted February 28, 2023 It's like a Kel Tec design engineer left Kel Tec and moved to S&W. First the M&P 12 KSG style shotgun, now a Folding 9mm rifle... lol. Honestly - it does intrigue me a little, and mostly because I already have M&P mags that will fit.
ESB 244 Posted February 28, 2023 Would love something like this in 5.7 that is still pistol grip fed.
Displaced Texan 11,731 Posted February 28, 2023 That thing is uglier than the Kel-Tec.
45Doll 5,873 Posted February 28, 2023 One YouTube comment I found: "If you hold it vertically with the stock facing up, this also doubles as a giant middle finger to the ATF."

Old Glock guy 1,127 Posted March 1, 2023 I like the way the side-folding design eliminates the Sub2000 dilemma of how to re-fold it with an optic in place. I've been looking for a pistol caliber carbine to keep in Florida, and I think this might be the one.

Can't have the folding stock version of that in NJ though. I'd actually really like a shorter barrel version (~10.5") of the Ruger that comes in at under 50oz (sans stock) so that it can be a legal pistol in NJ. A semi-automatic pistol that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least two of the following: (1) An ammunition magazine that attaches to the pistol outside of the pistol grip; (2) A threaded barrel capable of accepting a barrel extender, flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer; (3) A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles the barrel and that permits the shooter to hold the firearm with the non-trigger hand without being burned; (4) Manufactured weight of 50 ounces or more when the pistol is unloaded; and/or (5) A semi-automatic version of an automatic firearm; and
High Exposure 5,661 Posted March 6, 2023 Yeah, I’m aware of the law, thanks. They make a state compliant model that does not fold and has 10 round mags.
