silverado427 10,555 Posted April 20, 2023 I snapped a quick pic of of target I was using for zeroing two rifles today. Check out the difference in size of the holes. 350 gr 50 beowulf on the left and 55gr 223 on the right .
ESB 240 Posted April 26, 2023 How is the Beowolf to shoot?
silverado427 10,555 Posted April 26, 2023 Not bad, its got a little kick. I would say the equivalent of 12 gauge buckshot. the real issue is $ 2.35 - $ 2.50 per round of FMJ. Two twenty round boxes are $ 95.00 shipped.
TurnpikeTed 12 Posted April 28, 2023 It is interesting to think about the two competing concepts here, all designed to be fired from the same platform. one is large and slow moving, one is small and fast moving. The real scarry ones are the large and fast moving ones
ESB 240 Posted April 30, 2023 I kinda want a big round gun for shits and giggles. .450 Bushmaster might be a little cheaper and more practical (is that really a consideration). Bear Creek Arsenal has some pretty cheap uppers which would probably be fine for the rare occasional use they would see. Anyone have any feedback on BCA uppers? https://www.bearcreekarsenal.com/calibers/450-bushmaster.html Also what outdoor ranges in central NJ can you shoot large caliber guns?
silverado427 10,555 Posted April 30, 2023 I can only speak from my own experience with BCA , I have had no issues with the 50 beowulf side charging upper. As a matter of fact It was $ 320 shipped with two mags. I shoot @ range 14 with no issues.
