Got a Mauser C96... is this an issue?

Hey Folks,

So, I recently found a nice (restored/repaired) C96 Broomhandle. Anyone here very familiar with them?

Overall seems in good condition, but I notice some slight play with the upper relative to the grip. Anyone know if this is an issue or is it fine to shoot?

So if anyone's curious: the answer is no, the gun is fine.

In fact, it's a surprisingly good shooter for something 100 years old. I was nervous that the upper would jab hard into my shooting hand or even fly off the frame. It does have a noticeable sting, and at some point I might get a gunsmith to add a little material to make it tighter.

It's kind of funny, but honestly it's not the last gun of mine I'd grab for defense.  

I'm very tempted by the original-ish stock/holsters.
