Central Jersey - The Final Countdown

Here is the condensed version of this Sunday's event as per Tim's request,

 

The 200 general purpose and the 50 yard pistol range as well as the 300 yard high power range will be open.

The shotgun ranges should all free up room sometime after 12 Noon.

 

Range is located at

 

168 South Stump Tavern Rd, Jackson, NJ 08527

 

Meet up at the Jackson Outlets at noon and caravan to the range

 

Jackson Premium Outlets

537 Monmouth Road

Jackson, NJ 08527

 

Bring Ammo, clays, 20"x20" cardboard and 6' long 1x2 sticks for targets

Bring pistols, rifles and Shotguns with plenty of ammo

Bring water and maybe a sandwich

I could barely see target at 25 yards (and barely hit paper at this distance too

I think the pistol range is 50 and 100 feet, not yards

Pistol range is 25 and 50 YARDS. Don't they shoot Bullseye matches on this range so it is yards.

I used to drive from Howell to Browns Mills on 'the most direct route' which takes you through New Egypt and Cookstown. Directions are as follows:

Make a left at the wawa

go straight at the next wawa

make a left at the next wawa

etc

Yes as long as you have something to hold your target up you can make it as close as you need.

The permanent holders are at 25 and 50 yards on the pistol range.

On the 200 general purpose you must use your own target holder. There is some permanent holders at 200.

 

There is a deli store right at the End of the street that has good subs.

Thanks. I assume you need to drive a 1x2 into the ground with some cardboard and a target on it on the 200?

 

It'd be fun to blow up some pumpkins but I don't really want to clean it up

No there are holders there

 

here is what I would bring:

 

24 X 24 PIECES of cardboard for outdoor pistol range, not 20 X 20 although you can bring those also, but not for the outdoor pistol range

1 X2s that are 6 ft long, but Im going to home depot to grab 10 today

Duct Tape

heavy duty clamps to hold the 1 X2s in but Duct tape will work as well

Your own target stands, Jammit or the ones on box o truth or the ones that Cold shot was passing aroudn a few days ago

.22 or larget steel reactive targets will work just make sure we know what caliber is what so we dont mess up the .22 targets with some .45s (I dont know WHO WOULD BE STUPID ENOUGH (me) TO DO THAT THOUGH!)

Cooler with water, juice, soda, NO ALCOHOL allowed

Bring a stapler to put targets onto sticks? I am going to make one of those PVC holders today. I just got back from Dick's, bought a box of target rounds (100 round boxes for 24.99 and I had a $10.00 off coupon) and 2 cases of clay targets.

OK folks I will be bringing:

 

14 1 X2s. this is enough to make 7 targets at general purpose

1 roll of duct tape and some (dont know how many are in a some) clamps to hold the sticks up in the target posts

Some target backers (once again don't know how many are in a some)

A crap load of targets

1 Box of clays

Some .22 targets for plinking and maybe even a pistol caliber metal target or 2

 

I know some folks are carpooling and such and there isn't enough room but please bring the following if you can:

Duct tape

Clays

target backs 2ft X 2ft cardboard is fine

staple gun and staples

 

Hopefully some that are traveling by themselves will step up and bring some more 1 X 2s with them

Members, nonmembers? Can I use a holster? I have a chit load of target holders, and steel plates.

I like to set up a little action pistol/steel kind of thing and bang away.

I was at this range a couple of years ago for a youth event, very nice place.
