Snowing lightly up here in Sparta, too. I thought it was just lake effect from Mohawk, but it seems it's more widespread.

That's an advantage of living near the ocean. Light snow doesn't stick as the ocean keeps the ground warm enough to melt it.

 

Heavy snow and it's as bad as anywhere else.

Sparta update:

Coming down like mad, and starting to stick to the grassy areas and roofs. Sucks.

 

And I also grill outside all winter. I pretend it's summer, do up a summer picnic thing on the dining room table. Doesn't work too well. It's still winter, still cold, still dismal. I wish I could either hibernate or migrate. Sadly, neither is an option.

Don't feel too bad, I do shrimp and lobster (Lynn works for a seafood wholesaler). Even the summer/beach/clambake theme doesn't improve the view out the window.

Gotta love grillin in the winter. I pull the grill up on the deck every fall so i can have "easy access" all winter long. UPDATE- the roads are covered in blairstown. Thought i heard a salt truck go by before.
