Dunkleburgers in PA has primers

Recommended Posts

For those of you who are in north west jersey.

Made my bi-weekly trip out to the East Stroudsburg Pa Walmart to pick up some ammo.

While I was out there, I figured I'd stop at Dunkleburgers. They have a pretty good stock of primers. Small and large rifle, magnum and large pistol. They had > 10K of each out when I was there, now a little less :)

Prices were decent $34 / 1k Large pistol.

Update.

Now fully stocked with all types of primers

Small Pistol,Large Pistol, Magnum

Small rifle, Large Rifle

At this point, most places I go have primers available for $34 or less.

Of course, at Dunkelbergers your purchases are recorded, videotaped, and the records are sent to the NYPD. That's why they are getting nearly boycotted by the PA gun guys these days....

Are you pulling my chain or what? I thought Jerry was a stand up guy. I never had a sale recorded. I'll ask him next time I'm there.

If this is true please provide some proof.

Ever buy a gun there? You have to fill out a separate "government form" which is submitted to NYC. All purchases in the gun department are videotaped for NYC enforcement purposes.

NYC press release:

http://www.nyc.gov/portal/site/nycgov/menuitem.c0935b9a57bb4ef3daf2f1c701c789a0/index.jsp?pageID=mayor_press_release&catID=1194&doc_name=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nyc.gov%2Fhtml%2Fom%2Fhtml%2F2006b%2Fpr428-06.html&cc=unused1978&rc=1194&ndi=1

And key quote from this press release:

The Special Master has broad monitoring powers, including unlimited review of firearms-related records, which include trace requests and multiple handgun sale reports, as well as the ability to conduct unrestricted inspections of all firearm inventories. Employees will receive enhanced training to ensure these dealers conduct legal firearm sales and identify and refuse to sell to straw purchasers.

The staff is required to not tell customers about this, and will not tell you what the additional government form is for. The other gun stores in the same town mysteriously do not require this same form.

Here is the court ruling on the settlement:

Here is the original complaint, hosted on our favorite website, Mayors Against Illegal Guns:

There is a lot of discussion on this on the various PA firearms-related forums, but these are more official links and quotes. Here's a sample (but use the more official links above for more certain info):

Dave- It all makes sense now. Thanks!

Dunkleburger was extorted, obviously. Though he may have buckled under too easily. He was bitching last time I saw him about some local mayors signing on to the Bloomberg BS Group.

I guess the Groucho mustach, nose and glasses next time I go in to buy primers.
