Ammo Storage

I put the good stuff in military ammo cans in case we gotta bounce, and the plinking stuff in the safe for added weight.

I have an ammo can that I bought at a flea market for $5 many years ago. just used it for display until i got my first gun, now it holds my .22 ammo. Its good because it has the rubber ring to keep moisture out... since i store my ammo in the basement.

I stated I used military ammo cans. I forgot to mention I keep the ammo in their boxes and leave enough room for a descendant bag. I have thought about making trays with holes drilled in them that slide down in the ammocans.

I know those ammo cans are supposed to be water and air tight, but whenever I open one up that has been sitting for a while it has a musty mildew smell....I think I should get some bags too.

Store ammo in the safe all along the walls, firearms in the middle. It's getting really tight in there!

 

Also use one of these "rechargeable" dessicant canisters:

Every month or so I toss it in the oven for a couple of hours to recharge it.
