1. Application type (FID/permit w/ existing FID). FID AND 1 PERMIT

2. Police Department where you applied. Chester

3. Name of the person you dealt with at the PD. Online application

4. Time taken to issue FID and/or permit. 30 days!

5. Documents required by the PD (aside from the standard application and the mental health release form). Driver's License

6. Notes - Chester was fast. I took a while to get fingerprinted due to life but they basically turned around my FID and P2P in about a day once my background check came back (which took roughly 29 days). I recently moved to Chester so my DL is not updated to my new address but that was a non issue. Really no drama with the process.

Awesome! Was this 30 business days? Or calendar?

Calendar. 22 business days. I submitted my application online 10/29 and got a call today to pick up my P2P and FID. I waited until 11/25 to fingerprint and pay my fees at my local PD unfortunately as didn't have time prior so even more amazing that both were done 11/25, background check finished 11/28, and call came 11/30 for pick up.

Application type: FID

Pd where applied: Red Lion state police station

Person delt with: I frankly don't remember, you'll understand why.

Time taken to issue: original application date was March 2020. I picked up my FID  card 3/13/2021.

Notes: After 6 months I discovered an issue with my application by calling in several times before actually being able to speak with someone. I was told I'd have to reapply and possibly seek an expungement first. I began the expungement process which is still not complete and was called to pick up my ID. My lawyer stated the information I was provided was false and as my arrest was the result of a traffic court date I missed due to never recieving the summons, it did not disqualify my from obtaining my FID card. The summons was mailed to an address I no longer lived at and the postal service never forwarded it. Conclusion, I wasted $650 on an expungement I did not need due to the sgt. At the state police station providing me bad information when after the first 6 months he told me I was denied because of that arrest as I checked no on the box asking if id ever been arrested for a crime punishable by up to 1 year in prison.

The court dismissed that charge due to the error in the summons and I simply had to pay the parking ticket.

So I contacted the GTPD today, naturally the story is, backlog backlog backlog. Which is fine I guess, I can believe that as the state obviously doesn't dedicate the manpower to processing applications. But was more surprising to me is that they changed the whole process for the handgun permits. Some point between now and last year they went entirely digital. He said I will no longer get a physical copy of the permit, the state police will email a copy of it to me. You also have to pay the $2.00 permit fee ONLINE, no longer is it accepted in person. It's literally a little link that says PAY NOW! on the firearms page of the GTPD website. Had I not called nearly 56 days later, I assume the permit never would have been processed.

    • I dont think anyone needs Trumps coat tails, they just need a strong message people believe in.... like Trump.  Too often these people just expect a vote becuase a D or R, or because they're not the "other guy". Im done voting that way.  Besides Murphy is a much better politician than Jack, the guy never ran for office before and won too...  no one ever heard of the guy before he showed up here. Murphy made this state his bitch with zero politcal experience.
    • To help buyers and sellers alike, I've gone to AmmoSeek and looked up the current pricing for the most popular pistol, rifle and rimfire cartridges.  All ammo (unless otherwise noted) is grade A factory new (no reman)  brass case re-loadable with a full metal jacket.  This list does NOT reflect the lowest prices, nor the highest.  The sky is the limit for the greedy exploiters, and lower prices can be found on grade B and remanufactured ammo.  This guide is intended to show the current low/high average bracket price ammo may be obtained.  It does not mean it will be in stock.  Your best bet for finding and obtaining the lowest prices is to create an account at several on-line resellers and put yourself on notify lists. • The above is why Ciatterelli needs Trumps coattails so to speak.  It may not gain him many republican votes but its going to cost him quite few IMO.
    • I won't be voting for him.    As odd it sounds, Murphy has helped me financially in this state. I can't stand Murphy, I hate the guy with a passion... yet I have zero reason to vote for Ciatterelli... not a single reason.    Which means I probably just sit out on this one.
