Cheap optics find YMMV

Got this scopefrom Amazon. This is my very cheap solution to avoiding red-dot only or scope / magnification only solution. May get a DMS-1 if this proves unsatisfactory.

 

Plan to use it on my Stag-2 flattop. 1" tube, Leupold high rings.

 

Glass is bright and clear, no visible aberrations.

Etched glass mil-dot reticle, illuminated Red and Green. Since it's etched in glass (assuming that's true), no risk of reticle coming loose under recoil ... will see.

 

For now, will zero at BA at 25 yards. Will need to go outdoors (Fort Dix next weekend?) to zero at 100 yards.

Just boubought a DMS-1 Big difference in price from the Leapers. Will shoot it for the first time tomorrow, I'll post the skinny after I shoot it. Hope you do the same.

hey Radek. i know its an old post but how did this scope work out for u? wud this b comparable to, lets say, 2X Red Dot ?

Decent scope for the price, but a bit heavy for my liking. Better than a 2x red dot for sure. It goes up to 4x and at min setting (1.25x?) it's as good as a red dot without magnification. Also, the red and green reticles are nice and bright. I have only shot it mounted on an AR, so not sure yet how it will withstand higher recoil on a 30-06 bolt ... will try it next time. I may also try it on a Mosin for kicks.
