coldsolderjoint 84 Posted May 24, 2010 Yes to both. In NY State (Not the city), rifles or shotguns only.
Dewhitewolf 8 Posted May 24, 2010 You're fine going to PA long as you transport it in the same manner that you would in NJ. While generally it's not allowed to bring handguns into NY state, someone told me there's an exemption if you are attending (and presumably participating in) a NRA-sanctioned event in NY state. The person who told me this is fairly reputable. He owns property in both NY and NJ and is an instructor (and training counselor) and coach in many disciplines. Aleshka 0 Posted May 24, 2010 I went to Sunset Hill range in PA a couple of times with rifles and pistols. Just make sure you follow NJ transportation requirements.

Drew 4 Posted May 24, 2010 Just to re-affirm what everyone else has said, I belong to a gun club in Upper Black Eddy PA and I shoot my rifles and handgun there all the time. There are also about 20 other members who do the same.
Damjan 73 Posted May 24, 2010 Only thing i think is that in NY you can only have a 10rd magazine (15rd for NJ) so take 10rounders to NY. I ve read this on a different forum .
