Tom-NJ2AS 31 Posted May 25, 2010 Can any member from CJRPC explain why the NRA membership is mandatory for your club. I was downloading the application when i saw that it was manditory. Not as big deal, but just curious. Thanks
Shane45 807 Posted May 25, 2010 It would be news to me actually. I was unaware of a membership requirement.
Tom-NJ2AS 31 Posted May 25, 2010 it is conflicting. The rules section of the website says NRA membership is strongly encouraged, but not required. The PDF application says NRA membership car (Mandatory) I have been thinking of joining a range lately, and although it has the upfront 400.00 fee, it seems like a much better deal, and a lot safer than the indoor ranges. Shane45 807 Posted May 25, 2010 I have been a member for around 12 years so my memory may be a little fuzzy but the strngly recomended but not required is ringing a bell and would be my bet on the current status.
GRIZ 3,369 Posted May 25, 2010 At a meeting last year they voted NRA membership mandatory. The rationale was the NRA supports many programs run by the club so the club should support the NRA.
