26+ in Saiga.. NO stock.. legal?

just got off the phone with the state police.. I was more curious than anything..

 

If I have a Saiga that is the correct MIN length (26 inches)

and has NO stock at all...

 

I am still technically OK..

 

they say yes.. any input?

As long as the barrel length meets the minimum. 16" for rifle and 18" for shotgun. Otherwise you have a SBR or SRS, which in the free world is OK with a tax stamp, but is a no-no in NJ.
