8mm Mauser and .30-06 Springfield

Recommended Posts

Keep in mind the romanian ammo is 147ish grain vs (I think) the yugo, which is the standard 196. Most twist rates are for the 196, hence the yugo shoots better for most. If it just for blasting though it makes no difference.

This is for 8mm.

For 30-06, CMP is the best route.

I have a little of both on hand. The yugo tends to have hard primers, so unless you have a wolff firing pin spring, you will have sometimes a ftf. The romanian is stinky and sooty ammo but is sure fire stuff. I have never had a problem with the romanian stuff, even though it smells like dirty socks. Aimsurplus has the romanian on strippers for $99.00 free shipping.
