Hi Guys!

 

Newbie from Passaic Cty.

Going to apply for my FID & 3 PP Tues.

Went this week but detectives werent in.

(can only apply Tues & Thurs)

 

Since I dont know if my town is "gun-friendly", I"ve decided to lawyer up for the initail process.

Dont want to be denied over BS/games and trying to avoid any headaches.

 

any thoughts?

Welcome. I'd call up your PD first to see which detective to talk to. Get the exact name and talk to them if they're in. You may need to leave a message. Yes they may have certain days that they do the firearms stuff, but sometimes they have meetings/court dates that they have to go to.

yep, they are waiting for my reference letters to be returned.

unfort, my refs just got the letter TODAY!

Welcome! I joined yesterday. Already feel at home. Personally, I don't see the need for the attorney. Never heard of it in fact, but by all means, if you're more comfortable using him/her then that's the best route. Good luck with speedy receipt of your paperwork! Seems to be hit or miss depending on your town.

Dude...doesn't matter. Buy the first thing that comes to mind. You'll want another one to add to the collection within a month, regardless of what you get first.

i dont wanna waste any, lol. -it might be a fight to get more permits after these three!

 

as far as the attorney goes, you would be surprised by the RUNAROUND his office was getting.

i feel if i didnt go that route, i'd still be waiting. it was almost 60 days WITH atty.

buy a 9mm or 45 standard round not to expensive to shoot. 380,38,357 is very expensive
