Yep. Had the Hogue overmolded set before which felt great, might transfer that to the 28" Mossy. I do like the Magpul furniture better though...

I use the Hogue forend on my HD Mossy 500. It is arguably the most comfortable and grippy forend on the market. Dare I say it, but if it had a spot for a rail it'd be perfect.

My new (new to me) Stevens 311A 12 gauge shotgun. The barrels were already cut down to 18.5 inches when I bought it on Black Friday this year. I'm planning on refurbishing the stock to clean it up and I might polish the chambers so I could take empty shells out on the fly. All I need to now is to fire it (I just got it) and a way to hold some extra shells on the gun. I would like to get a 6 round shell carrier for the buttstock.

That's a sweet shotgun.  Jealous!

I have an Uncle Mike's Buttstock Shell Holder that holds 5 shells that works well Model 88493

Nothing wrong with a 5 rounder but I kind of want a 6 rounder. I like the additional round plus say I fire the 4 rounds from the the buttstock and I have to reload with the 5 rounder, I have 1 round left. If I have the 6 rounder, then I could complete a full reload.

Started as a Ducks Unlimited gun, which I bought as a donor to replace the stock on my dad's identical shotgun... which was cracked. Tossed on a Boyd's stock set, and had Rose Action Sports shorten the barrel, thread for Remington chokes, and add the beads. Robar did the NP3 Plus, and I added the Velcro for the shell cards. Really happy with how it came out.

I've got the Ultimate Arms 8 rounder (6 on one side 2 on the other). I've had zero issues with it. Got for $10 on Amazon.

8 rounds are better than 6. Does the left side of the shell holder interfere with your cheek weld on the stock when shooting?
