whats a good long range scope for 2-400 yards for under 400.00?

I have looked through a couple Nikon ProStaffs, they were pretty clear. I have heard that several others were satisfied with them as well.

+1 ... I own one and have it mounted on a .308 Savage. Everyone who looks through it is impressed with it's quality - considering the price tag.

If you want a fixed power, the SWFA SS is a great 10x scope. A bit overkill for 100 yards and closer though.

 

Really great scopes for the money are Buriss Fullfield 2, Nikon's.

 

The Nikon ProStaff are under $200 and great value. Wolfy's Nikon is really nice. On my remington 700 I have a Monarch 6-24x50.
