Specops stocks

Recommended Posts

Is the recoil reducing stock worth the extra $50 over the NRS model? I'm thinking of trying one of these out on my 590A1 since the lop on the speedfeed stock is super long (I think 14.5 inches). I'm a short guy, 5'9". I'm already aware of the issues with the safety and pistol grip stocks but I figure there are ways around this (leaving the gun unchambered and safety off this way all I have to do is pump once and I'm good to go).

I have the cheaper one and it works just fine for me.. 12 gauge is really not that bad to me so maybe I am the wrong person to ask... but the recoil is definitely manageable..

that's the answer I'm looking for haha. I don't find the recoil to be all that bad on the 12 gauge. I'm looking to shorten the lop

Are you the only one shooting it? I put the Knoxx recoil reducing stock on my win 1300 so my wife can easily handle it... it definetly reduces recoil and muzzle rise, that's for sure. Just my .02

I'm the only one shooting it (single, live alone).

Have you thought about the Hogue youth stock? I'm not joking, it's got a short length of pull and it has good recoil reducing pads.

I'm not a fan of collapsable stocks on shotguns (anymore). I'm 6'5 so the longer the better for me.

I may try that out while I'm at it. I got the knoxx which I like but am always willing to try other things. Maybe I'll sell the speedfeed stock which is now laying around to fund a hogue stock. I'm 5'9 so I need a shorter pull.
