Okay Peter, I'm not really up to par on black rifles. But I do know that I've seen plenty of Bushmasters/Stags/M&Ps and the 2nd tier guns do just fine.

Ok some cleaning questions for the ak74, first I read a .223 brush and bore snake will work no problem is this true? Second how do you clean after the corrosive ammo? And last is there anything I should know about storing the corrosive ammo, heard to heard to it away from firearms anything else I should know? My first ak and first corrosive ammo. Thanks

Yes, a .223 brush/snake will work. Corrosive ammo isnt corrosive in nature to anything untill it is fired. Infact, it is better as far as long term storage than modern ammunition. For cleaning, I bath my rifle in warm soapy water, brush it all over, and blow it out with compressed air after, then oil.

My rifle is in and neutered. Going to pick it up Saturday. I'll start a new thread with Pics-n-stuff. I may take it right to the range for some break in goodness (after a quick initial clean and lube of course).
