OBRPC - International Pistol League ?

I got the night off from work so I figured I do a little shooting, I pull up the OBRPC calender for tonight and I see they have " New Event - International Pistol League 6pm-9pm "(5/25/11), I need to complete my participation form, so I figure I show up to check it out.

 

Is anybody here familiar with what this is? Anybody participating? Could a new member just show up and participate if interested ?

Im going to guess this AIR pistol.

In general, both members and non-members may participate in any of the league events. I am curious myself about this event and since Wednesday is my practice day I am going to try to get there to catch at least the end of it.

Is AIR an acronym for something or do you literally mean AIR powered pistol?

 

 

After re-reading this months newsletter I found this in some descriptions:

International Pistol—Shoots on the 4th Wednesday of the

month. Both .22LR and center-fire pistols are used for

these courses of fire. If you want to try a slightly different,

and more demanding, course of fire come on down and

shoot in this league.

 

 

I'll probably show up regardless to check it out around 6pm or so.

I'm guessing it's like shooting bullseye. If it is centerfire and rimfire, it's probably a shorter course of fire consisting of only the timed and "rapid" fire segments of a match.

 

Just my guess.
