Obama's Plan - for his 2nd and our 2nd

I realize pretty much no one on these forums would vote for ZerObama, but here's some more cautionary words:

I think obama will win a 2nd term. The economy may

slowly improve, the msm will be his propoganda arm even worse than 2008. The stupid party will nominate romney, who will then get raked over the coals by the msm, just like mcain was. The thing to concentrate on is control of congress and senate and statehouses.

I think Obama will win a secnd term. I don't think the GOP has any intention of fielding someone who could win. They don't want ot be in the office to take the blame for everything that is going to wash out in terms of the economy and all the propping up that didn't fix anything finally running out and the bill coming due. They want congress, and making Obama look like a boogeyman and a shoe in to win benefits them most for that plan. Then the hope is in 2016 that they can control both houses and the oval office due to burn out on democratic policies and general finger pointing and name calling.

Buy your guns and ammo soon, the likely case is that Obama wins, he will start a full assault on gun owners. Permanent AWB, mag restrictions, semi restrictions, no more imports, national OGAM, registration of everything. He just wont give a sh_t.. Only hope is that congress/senate stays out of Lib control, which seems likely. Worse would be Romney winning, follwed by AG Christie and ATF head Bloomberg--a real nightmare

It doesn't matter who wins really. Well, there is one exception, but he will never get a nomination. If he does, he would never win. If he did, he would quickly be assassinated/impeached. So really, it doesn't matter.

The problem with that idea is Obama has already shown he will happily go around Congress by using signing statements and department regulations. The executive branch has grown so large and powerful it is no longer a peer with the legislative and judicial branches, giving the president way too much power. Yes, that's unconstitutional, but who is stopping this?

I can tell you, he's got my vote if he makes it past the nominations.I really don't like the rest of them, so I might not vote if that guy doesn't get nominated.

The Congressional and Senate elections are just as important as the Presidency. Obama can wreck havoc by loading the courts with anti gunners, but little else. Congress makes the laws such as AWB and mag and import restrictions. The danger and what Obama is playing now, is that the Country's woes are all the fault of Congress. He will use this to push for his own re-election as well as putting the Democrats back in charge of both houses, so he can get things done. That is the real danger more then anything else.

Obama free to load the courts and both houses of Congress under liberal control with truly be the end of gun rights. God help us all.

Judge Kavanaugh and the Second Amendment
      http://www.scotusblog.com/2018/07/judge-kavanaugh-and-the-second-amendment/
"....Kennedy sided with his more conservative colleagues in finding a Second Amendment right to have a handgun in the home, and there is no reason to believe that Judge Brett Kavanaugh, if confirmed, is likely to disagree"
"....We know from his recorded dissents from the denial of review that Thomas would vote to review and overturn some existing gun laws, and we know that Gorsuch – at least to some extent – agrees with him. But it takes four votes to grant review in a case, and we do not know whether Roberts and Alito also agree with Thomas but have opted not to say so publicly, or whether they instead are content to leave the court’s gun-rights jurisprudence as it is."
".... just this week, the 9th Circuit struck down Hawaii’s ban on carrying weapons openly outside of the home; even if the case goes to the full 9th Circuit, the losing party is almost certain to ask the Supreme Court to weigh in."

A law suit was filed that challenges New York's stun gun ban based on second amendment issues.

      The filing is here:

The suit cites Heller, McDonald, and the more recent Caetano v. Massachusetts decision.

If NY falls then maybe NJ will be next.

      Hello Fellow Forum Members,
This is my first posting. I just signed up this morning after being told that our March 28, 2015 meeting was being discussed in the forums.
There is much to tell about what SAPPA is and what we are doing.  A visit to our web page which is being sponsored by www.tpath.org will give you much of what you need to know.  http://www.tpath.org/sappa-downloads.html

Our staff has been working for almost two years on a new legal effort never before tried.  The legal members who have put this plan together are convinced that if the brief reaches the ultimate court, the unconstitutional gun laws not just here in NJ but across the country will be set to flame.

We can't give you more information on the legal aspect, beyond what we have posted on the web page referenced above.  If you think after reading those documents that you or any of your friends  would like to participate and assist this effort please sign up here   http://www.tpath.org/sappa-sign-up-page.html

Please understand that there is no cost to joining our effort.  There will be no dues. We have thus far paid for all costs in preparing this SAPPA effort.  We intend to continue that.  All we need from those who wish to join is that your heart and soul is dedicated to the Bill of Rights in general and  specifically, the 2nd Amendment.  Your Party affiliation is of no concern to us.

We were told that our meeting of March 28, 2015 in central Jersey has been discussed in this forum.  We are pleased and proud to announce the meeting is set.  It will begin at 10:00AM and run about 2 hours (breakfast, brunch or lunch. Your choice).  The exact location is not being posted on the web pages, for obvious reasons.  If you are interested in attending you must sign up on the link above.  You will be contacted with an invitation via email with all the meeting information.

Finally, if you do choose to come to the meeting, be prepared to be amazed at our game plan.  This plan has been broken into what we are calling the Three Phases of SAPPA.  The Phase I involved months of research and preparation of legal documents.  Phase II is comprised of 2 parts, the first of those two is complete, the upcoming meeting is the culmination of Part II of Phase II.  Phase III will be the legal action and the publicity effort.

Remember that while you must be on our guest list to access the meeting you may bring other guests with you once you have been invited.  Please let us know how many.  The purpose for the guest list is two fold.  We need to know who those attending are, to the best we can, and also so we can have the proper amount of material prepared for the number of persons attending.

Please feel free to contact me > [email protected]  or [email protected]
      Thanks
      Dwight (TPATH)

Gun confiscation is one step closer in Connecticut. The mainstream media spins it as “one more chance” for non-compliant gun owners who failed to register their scary guns before the January 1 deadline.

In reality, these letters - 106 to rifle owners, and 108 more to residents with standard capacity magazines – are the first step in the Connecticut State Police beginning to round up guns arbitrarily made illegal last year in that state. These guns include America’s favorite rifle, the AR-15 and magazines over 10 rounds, which include the standard capacity magazines made for that America’s favorite rifle.

Failure to register is now a felony now in Connecticut.

How long will it be before there is bloodshed over this law? We’re not sure, but we’re confident it is coming unless the law is rescinded or struck down by the courts.

Mike Vanderboegh of the edgy Sipsey Street Irregulars released an open letter a couple of weeks ago, warning of what’s coming to Connecticut. The Connecticut State Police aren’t listening. Yet.

We suspect attitudes may change after the first few rounds of bloodshed.

As it stands right now, the best estimates are that 4% of newly-regulated guns and magazines in The Nutmeg State have been registered, leaving a hundred thousand or more newly classified potential felons looking over their shoulder.

Editor’s note: We’re not going to link to the article because they are hiding most of the content behind a paywall and we won’t drive thousands of readers to their website.

One more chance for gun owners

Manchester, CT (Journal Inquirer) – When state officials decided to accept some gun registrations and magazine declarations that arrived after a Jan. 4 deadline, they also had to deal with those applications that didn’t make the cut.

The state now holds signed and notarized letters saying those late applicants own rifles and magazines illegally.

But rather than turn that information over to prosecutors, state officials are giving the gun owners a chance to get rid of the weapons and magazines.

100 letters don't seem like much, but it might be their strategy to tackle a little at a time when it comes to the overall 100k non-compliant gun owners. I'm giving strong consideration to the idea of making future purchases outside state lines.

    • ALWAYS CHECK "THEIR" WORK!!!  The last one we had been subject to was a total hack job.  We fought it and got it corrected.  We weren't happy with the increase, but it could have been worse.
    • Yes, it's an estimate. By that estimate, we are the worst state in the nation. Life of Tax: How Much Tax is Paid Over a Lifetime | Self. This much of your lifetime wages go to taxes — where does NJ rank (nj1015.com)
    • Think so? Check your property card. My mother's house hadn't changed since it was built in 1952. But back in the 2oth century when the property taxes were skyrocketing, I went to look at the property card in the assessors office. Among other nonexistent features I found on it was a finished basement and two extra baths. Even better, the office manager tried to tell me that the arithmetic on the card (based on the features listed) that resulted perfectly in the property tax total, had NOTHING TO DO with the tax levied. The last assessment they did on our current home was all wrong. Fortunately I had the blueprints for the house and corrected all the mistakes in the assessor's measurements.
    • You're forgetting that we're much lazier now. Those lances were really heavy. If someone can't use a gun, it's hard to imagine them bothering to fight at all.
