Same ...except I used my dad’s small table top sized tube tester.  Probably ....played with it.....would be more accurate.   Only had 5 or 6 sockets as I recall.   Wish I still had it.  I think he ditched it in the early 80’s.

A textbook I used in 1981 covered vacuum tube devices.  We skipped the chapter.  But even then, it was odd to see.

I grew up in Ozone Park NY.  We played this  game skully. You used bottle caps and you melted wax, And added it  inside the cap to give it some weight. You played it in the street. you caulk it out on the street. kinda like pool. You flicked the bottle cap with your finger.
