Longtime resident Lady Liberty, age 236 was struck by a stolen Chevy Volt last night along the interstate. The driver and passengers, illegally in the US from their native countries across the world, then dragged Ms. Liberty into the woods and brutally sodomized her before heading to the local polling place where they registered using the names of Supreme Court justices and voted without being challenged by UN poll watchers.

Authorities found them around the corner, each with a large supply of newly legalized recreational marijuana, getting high. They were taken into custody and released a short time later with a kiss on each cheek and a prepaid gift card for WaWa to handle the munchies.

Ms. Liberty is in extremely critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit, and doctors are very wary of her chances of recovery. A crowd of zombie-like citizens are already gathered at the Liberty residence, preparing to loot it of valuables when she succumbs to her injuries or the Death Panel declares her worthless and pulls the plug.

    • What handgun are you looking at for your first purchase? You may want to raise the bar a bit and look at handguns in the $400-$800 range unless you’re looking for a small .22. Have you gone to a range to try out a few pistols? You can buy something online just to get it home and hate it. I would suggest the first purchase be from a local gun shop unless you have shot the pistol before you order it.    Every hand guns feels different, I love the look of the CZ Rami but when I handled one in a store, the trigger was terrible, felt like it took 10 lbs of pressure to pull it. Wanted a Beretta Tomcat, looked for a small gun in a small caliber to keep around the house, handled one in the store and for the life of me I couldn’t see the sights. Don’t just buy a handgun blind, you may not like it one bit.
    • I've been selling a bunch of ammo and frankly there's enough demand locally that you shouldn't need to ship it and have to be concerned with multiple state laws. If you post in the NJ guns for sale group on MeWe you'll get lots of interest for 9mm, .223 and 12ga ammo from people who will drive to you.
    • Thank's for posting those laws and UPS rules for shipping ammo.  I'm thinking about selling some spare 9mm, 223, & 12ga, on GunBroker and have been frustrated by all the multitude of state laws and requirements.   I'm thinking if I avoid shipping to HI, AK, and CA, and require a copy of a state ID and firearms ID, I'll be okay.  Am I forgetting anything?
    • https://www.gunbroker.com/ffl/index you can look up FFLs near you that will do internet transfers here.  It's always a good Idea to contact the FFL before you order and have it delivered. If you can't get ahold of them ahead of time, you will have problems getting ahold of them after they have your stuff. But even so it's a good idea to let them know something is coming and to make sure their listed rates are current so there are no surprises.
