Hey, it might not pass (or even if it reaches the president's desk he would 99.9999999% be likely to refuse to sign it), but it's nice to hope.

Even if this makes it past the house, the "do nothing" senate will kill the bill. It will never see the presidents desk to veto or pass.

 

The house or representatives has passed a lot of good bills only to be killed by the senate. Gridlock is better than what we had from 2006-2010 because it seems whenever government is "doing something", they are creating more regulation.

Regarding Paul's bill. It was introduced in Jul 2011. The fact that is made so little progress to date in Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security speaks to its eventual prospects. Gotta admire Ron Paul's consistensy on issues, but there is zero chance that the bill will even make it to the floor. Rep. Paul knows that full well, of course.

Ron Paul supporters can get all excited over this but it will probably go where most of his bills he sponsored went. Note the number of sponsors that have signed on to it. Check his record in Congress.
