compujas 21 Posted March 22, 2012 To start off, please don't give me the "don't buy a serpa" speech. Thanks. I'm looking to buy a Serpa holster for my Beretta 92A1 as a stopgap since my Bladetech DOH was backordered and likely won't be here in time for the USPSA class next Saturday. Before I order it though, I want to make sure it will fit the 92A1 with a rail. Does anyone have any insight on whether it will fit? I e-mailed them this morning but haven't heard back yet, so I may just give them a call if no one here knows.
compujas 21 Posted March 22, 2012 Or better still, any other suggestions for a cheap, readily available left-handed holster for USPSA for a 92A1. I don't want to spend a lot since I'm not going to use it much and I have a DOH on the way already.
hiker88 22 Posted March 22, 2012 This is what I have for my 92FS:http://www.safariland.com/DutyGear/product.aspx?pid=5187
BlueLineFish 615 Posted March 22, 2012 I love my Serpa. Have one for multiple handguns. I like to live dangerously so if you do too just get a Serpa.
compujas 21 Posted March 22, 2012 Thanks guys, but I need to know if any of these fit the A1 with the rail. I'm quickly finding out that many holsters noted as fitting the 92 don't fit the A1 and need to find one quickly to have it in time for next weekend. Otherwise I'll have to try to find a generic leather holster that will fit. Unfortunately they're not cheap either.
BlueLineFish 615 Posted March 22, 2012 Never heard of this company but take a look http://beretta-holsters.com/beretta-92a1-holster.html
mcbethr 42 Posted March 22, 2012 Can you use a Galco Yaqui holster for USPSA? I have one if you want to borrow it. I'll be going up to Jersey City for work this weekend if you want to meet up. My only request is that you give it back. Only problem is I'm right-handed...
Tactical Turtle 11 Posted March 22, 2012 Serpas are great holsters, I.have one I use to qualifies with, and I also use it at the range... And no negligent discharges... Can you believe it!!!!!! So yea. Get one lol
Zell959 40 Posted March 22, 2012 I've been having similar doubts when trying to shop around for a 90two holster. Not sure if the changes to the 92fs dimensions are enough to effect holster compatibility and I'm worried I'll end up spending $60-$90 on a holster that it ends up not fitting into. compujas 21 Posted March 22, 2012 I already have a Serpa for my Glock, and I do like it, which is why I'm looking at it for my Beretta. I just don't know if it will fit mine and don't have enough time to try it and be wrong. And thanks for the offer mcbethr but I'm a lefty. I'm now starting to think of maybe just trying a universal holster if I can find one that will work.
Krdshrk 3,877 Posted March 22, 2012 I don't think any of the Serpas can fit the 92A1 yet. Maybe one that fits a 90-two?
compujas 21 Posted March 22, 2012 Thinking of just trying this. It's cheap enough, I can get it quick, and it's ambidextrous. Anyone see any glaring reasons it would be bad for minimal use USPSA? http://www.amazon.com/Holster-Beretta-two-laser-rail/dp/B003LXRQXW/ref=cm_rdp_product

JackDaWack 2,895 Posted March 23, 2012 There are two models that will fit it, I have looked for the m9a1. They are the light carrying model and the duty holster #44H504BK-R #44H104BK-R They also make both of them in the tactical version. Directly from there website. http://www.blackhawk...Holsters,16.htm
