MarkWVU02 47 Posted March 25, 2012 A buddy of mine is trying to get his FID and P2Ps in Rutherford and was told it can be 6-8 months. What can he do to speed the process up. It's ridiculous that towns get away with this.
Soju 153 Posted March 25, 2012 Unfortunately though their actions are illegal there isn't anything you or he can do. Stuff like this is why there is currently a lawsuit.

diamondd817 823 Posted March 25, 2012 Sounds a little excessive. Is there anyway they possibly said 6-8 weeks and it was just misundestood?
MarkWVU02 47 Posted March 26, 2012 I'm hoping that would be the case but he was pretty serious about it.
Sandy 44 Posted March 26, 2012 Wow. I hope he heard wrong. North Arlington told me 6 to 8 weeks. Got it in 6. They had stuff sitting there a long time , but that was due to references not getting back.
Sigman 41 Posted March 26, 2012 6 to 8 months isn't normal. I can see 6 to 8 weeks. My wife got hers in 4 weeks and my pistol permits normally take 4 weeks. A couple of friends in other towns are around the 4 week time period. They're sitting on them if it's taking over 6 weeks.
colnar 0 Posted March 26, 2012 I am actually going on 8 weeks for my P2Ps. I already have a FID.
Kasanova 2 Posted March 26, 2012 My initial fid and 1 p2p took 10 months 2 weeks.... Yeah its crazy but i just got tired of calling and going there almost on a weekly basis for about 3-4 months.
