deadeye74 5 Posted March 26, 2012 Since I managed to get some of my hard earned $$ back from taxes this year, I am ready to move forward and buy my first press. I see that Midway has the RCBS kit on sale for $287. My question is dies and shell holders. I have seen some serious price differences on 3 die sets. If I am using a RCBS press, do I have to use RCBS dies or can I use another manufacturer?
RedBowTies88 41 Posted March 26, 2012 No you are not limmited to only RCBS dies..
Sigman 41 Posted March 26, 2012 I have the RCBS Kit and use the Lee 4 Die pistol kits that include the factory crimp die. I have loaded thousands of rounds with these dies with no problems. The factory crimp die is nice because it sizes the case after the crimp. I like to use a separate crimp die from the bullet seat.
