I have just been reading nj2a site about flash ccw. Am I right in my reading that my dd214 is all I need to show proof of weapons safety course and then send in the $117.00 and the correct forms. So it is my understanding that I don't have to take any other safety courses.

Correct. Your DD-214 is sufficent for the firearms training. You need your DD-214, the application, photo, and prints. & $117

FYI, I believe I read on here that Florida changed their fingerprint process. You now need (electronic?) prints, no more ink and paper. Something to look into....

I submitted ink prints thru GFH on April 16th. Florida ashes my check so I am thinking the prints are fine. Not to highjack the thread, but any idea how long it approximately takes to receive permit from when they deposit the check? It took them almost 10 days to do so. Thx

Got mine in March. It was exactly 30 days from the time I sent it in until I received it.

The electronic finger print scan is optional. They still accept the standard finger print card.

It may take awhile longer the get them back now because of such an increase in applications submitted.

Wow, I applied 4/16 thru GFH and still nothing. I have a clean record involving fingerprint checks (CPA and foster parent). Oh wel.
