Speer Lawman TMJ - good stuff?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've been looking at new range ammo.

Been running Remington UMC through my glock but it's pretty dirty and getting hard to find.

I came across some Lawman TMJ 9mm for pretty cheap. Anyone have any experience with it?

How do you like TMJ vs FMJ bullets?

never had an issue with speer lawman stuff. it has always been my first choice but it's usually expensive, so i go for PMC bronze asa second choice. The 2 times i bought remington bulk ammo, i had a lot of issues with it, so i stay away from them.

Hey cguiro

I found a deal on SGammo - case going for just over 219.

Works out to be about 11 bucks a box - which is cheaper than most around here.

Thats about as cheap as you're gonna get now a days.

I'm going to pick some of it up I think.

FWIW, I got a case 1K rounds of 9mm 115gr Lawman a couple of weeks ago from TargetSportsUsa in CT. I've only put 100 rounds of it through my Glock so far, but it seemed much easier to clean up afterwards than the Federal white box or CCI Blazer Brass I was using before. (Yes -- I'm one of _those_ people who clean after each range visit, it's an obsessive thing, and easy to clean is a plus for me).

Most of the reviews/comments on the various ammo sites seemed to indicate that it fired cleaner than other brands, that's why I went with it. After about 500 rounds, I'll evaluate re-ordering another case or not. The price was pretty good as well (IIRC, it was about $220 for a case of 9mm with free shipping)
