USPSA at Tenafly on 5/20?

Recommended Posts

USPSA sanctioned matches are no longer being held there.

However they do have practice matches and steel matches. This weekend I believe it is knockdown pro-am steel.

I don't believe that there are any factory loads that are Minor load but, if you load your own its very easy to load minor. For specific examples, check out and manufacturer's load data page such as http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp

They show a 230gr FMJ at 670 fps which is a 154 PF, well below Major.

Ahhh, but there is...

http://www.federalpremium.com/products/details/handgun.aspx?id=155

gives you a 142 PF. But expensive.

Adios,

Thanks guys will these loads still cycle a 1911 reliably I would guess so but like I says just starting out in uspsa.

Probably, but it does depend on how the gun is set up. Maybe list what gun you have and what springs are in it and more than likely someone here will have one and be able to tell you..

Wouldn't no major loads mean no .45 at all I am new to this but I didn't think you could shoot .45 and get it to mInor power level

No major loads is just for steel matches. USPSA you can use.

I do use 45 for steel, but it's a lighter load. It's still major power factor,

just not as hot as factory.
