My New Acquisition

Recommended Posts

I just trade my P95 in after owning it for 15+ years. I think it is a great gun for the money and shoots great, you will like it. I just had no use for it and had not shot it in a long time, so I figured someone else could get some use out of it. I had a much older version than the one you got.

First off, good luck and happy shooting. Ruger makes a fine gun for the money.

Anyhow, i must tell you, when i opeded the picture, the first thing i saw was the made in the USA sticker. I was sold right there! I have recently purchased several firearms, including 2 pistols. ALL were made here in the good ole USA. And, imagine this, they all work like a clock, including my new Ruger SR40.

Enjoy!

brought the ruger to the range this morning.

very happy !

operated flawlessly, easy to shoot and very accurate.

the only negative and it's not really a negative would be the long trigger pull.

after a few rounds i was getting more used to it.

i have two other handguns, a taurus and a sig....and i do like them both

however, i think the ruger has quickly become my favorite.

i highly recommend the p95.

I was looking for a rail upgrade for my Mini 30 and found this product which in my opinion makes it look so tacticool and actually allows me to eventually mount a red dot on my rifle!
Samson makes it for both variants. (models 2007 and older or the 2008 and newer) They also offer in black and natural gray is what i opted for. I love the way the wood and the gray works so well. It matches the original hardware quite well as you can see in the pics. The link below includes the vortex red dot but you can also get it without the red dot which was what i opted for. Comes with a QD mount and additional 2" pic rail.

As pictured, slip on muzzle device. Flash suppressor? Muzzle brake? The vents do not go 360, no vent on the bottom.
Not sure how to qualify it but with the full size opening I'd venture flash suppressor.
Slip on and then pinned with a roll pin and an allen screw on the bottom.
I had an older model stainless mini (180 series I think), used it on that, don't know about fitment on current models.
      $50 shipped priority mail CONUS.
      Location Delaware
The first to post "I'll take it" establishes the buyer, PM after that.

    • I very seriously doubt this has anything to do with terrorism.    1) Harbor pilots are VERY seriously vetted, and highly trained. Not to mention extremely well paid. My experience knowing a few of them, and knowing how they are recruited and screened tells me that there is a slim to highly unlikely chance that a harbor pilot would have participated in anything like that.    2) Maintenance of foreign flag ships is well known to be dubious. Especially these days. These were NOT US flag, Jones act sailors. It was (to my understanding) a largely Indian crew on that ship, with a Ukrainian Captain. Indian crews are not exactly known for being stellar.    3) The bunkers (fuel) these ships use is ‘Bunker C’, which is a heavy, dirty fuel oil that can, and usually is, pretty contaminated. This stuff ain’t your car grade gasoline or diesel fuel. It’s nasty.   It requires nearly constant filter changes and maintenance to the engine/generators. The ship took on fuel prior to departing port, which would stir up all kinds of shit in the fuel tanks, which would contribute to particulates in the fuel lines/filters.    4) I’d say the posting of the chief engineer for Maserek above was pretty spot on as far as chain of events.    This was a shitty accident, with horrible timing and outcome. Not a terror attack.
    • I saw Lara's interview on Bannon's War Room, and that gave me pause for thought. Her conjecture depends primarily on the veracity of her sources. Regardless, if it's not applicable in any way to this ship disaster, the methods described seem valid to me. And worthy of consideration for the future. As I said before, IMO something is coming.
