It sounds like a plan. It would probably be sometime during the summer. Do you have a 50? If not, mine can be used . It always is good to have a few people man the one gun. Sharing the expense is always a plus.

It's a shame there doesn't seem to be a range in NJ allowing the use of a 50 BMG.

 

Range 14. No problems. Only 200yards, though.

CR also requires that the rifle be shoulder fired, so an M2 on a tripod is out at CR.

 

That's right according to the rules. I have seen the RO's make exceptions however.

I think for safety sake as well as enjoyment, I will probably use the Pa. ranges. It would be great, one day, if NJ locations were open to 50's but certainly safety is the most important consideration.

the lack of places that allow 50 cal is one of the reasons ive held off getting a M2hb...that and its damn pricey..

I have learned there might be a range in MD, allowing 50's to be used. If it is true and I am able to obtain information, I will post it. I would think if a reasonably convenient place to shoot, exists, more 50's would be owned. I know when I look at mine. I get real enjoyment.

I have one private property range where I can safely shoot a 50. I have shot one at range 14 in the past. I really need to get one some day....
