question about Sellier and Bellot brass

I was at the range today and a guy was cleaning up his brass and had shot about 100 rounds of S&B .45 ammo. Just as he was about to throw it out i asked him if i could have it. He said sure and gave it too me my question is the primers have what looks like a red translucent coating on them.

 

Is this coating a sealer and if it is should i do anything different when I eventually reload them. if they are going to be a pain to deal with i will just toss them as it was only a 75 to a 100. But i also want to know beacause of the sportsmans guide deal i was going to buy 500 rounds but if they are going to be a pain to reload i will pass.

The sealant will get cleaned off in the tumbler when you clean them. Check with a magnet. S&B now sells real brass ammo and plated steel ammo.

It's just a primer sealer. Don't worry about it.

Thats what i belive it is looks like a red clearcoat over the primer and i checked they are brass shells

I've been shooting S+B in 115 gr 9mm for two years , around 3,600 rounds Its fast and accurate also pretty clean. had one FTF. I like it.
