DirtyDigz 1,811 Posted July 20, 2012 Used the Independence 9mm 115gr FMJ previously in both glock and CX4 without a problem. good deal, in for a case.

destro23 0 Posted July 20, 2012 DirtyDigs... gen3 or Gen4 glock?
DirtyDigz 1,811 Posted July 20, 2012 Uhh, my glock is about 5 years old now, predates the under-barrel rail, I think that makes it gen 2?
fatty 241 Posted July 20, 2012 shipping quote for single box came out to $9.28 for .40 cal I think I'll pass.
RubberBullets 65 Posted July 20, 2012 shipping for 500 rnds of .40 came to like 12-13bucks.. choose shipping on the amount youd actually buy and get a more accurate gauge on the overall price per round.

Yeah, doesn't make sense for single boxes, but their shipping is much more reasonable for larger orders. Shipping for 20 boxes of 9mm came out to $16.87, quite reasonable, and the overall shipped price comes out to less than 21 cents per round, a very good price for FMJ brass cased 9mm! You are absolutely right on that, I was just doing quick quote while on a break at work. But until Sunday, PSA is still cheaper for .40 cal @ $13.49/box for 180gr blazer brass. I got confirmation from PSA that the free shipping promo will end in 2 days... I hope they restart the promo on Monday like they did last time. Sadly I can't justify any additional ammo purchases to the wife She was pretty upset after the last 2 shipments came in lol
PeteF 1,044 Posted July 20, 2012 Independence is brutally dirty. They go bang but after 100 rounds you are going to need a good scrubbing. And your gun will need to be cleaned too.
fatty 241 Posted July 20, 2012 Can't be nearly as dirty as Ultramax. I could barely see in front of me after firing a few rounds at the range with huge cloud of smoke.
Mikeythumbs 1 Posted July 21, 2012 I bought a case of the .45 today probaly why it is sold out total was 324 with shipping. It was funny the case price 329 but if you put in 20 boxes it came out to 299 and shipping was the same both ways
bry@n 195 Posted July 21, 2012 I shot this stuff in FL and it shot well. Very dirty though but I was renting guns at the range so I didn't care. This is reloaded ammo correct?
DirtyDigz 1,811 Posted July 21, 2012 I believe the Independence stuff is *NOT* reloaded.
Mikeythumbs 1 Posted July 21, 2012 Bry@n according to the website it is cci and not reloads oh we'll I it's dirty I'll just have to clean the gun better and I'll have more brass when in start reloading in sept already have 2 gallon ziplock one full one half full
Old Glock guy 1,127 Posted July 21, 2012 That's the best price I've seen in a long time for .40 S&W. So what if it shoots dirty. I mostly shoot Glocks, and they laugh at dirt.
halbautomatisch 60 Posted July 21, 2012 I've shot a case of Independence 9mm and didn't find it to be exceptionally dirty, certainly cleaner than Wolf or Sliver Bear.
NJSigfan 218 Posted July 21, 2012 Does anyone have a promotional code for this site.
Mikeythumbs 1 Posted July 23, 2012 Does anyone have a promotional code for this site. It was not a promotional code I think they were selling out old stock or just had a few cases of thi stuff they wanted I get rid of when I ordered my case they said on the site there was only 31 boxes of .45 available so after my order that left
URGE 0 Posted July 25, 2012 i shot 550 rounds of Independence 9mm 124gr through my XD. i found it to be very clean. wish i bought more when i had the chance.
Mikeythumbs 1 Posted July 25, 2012 Wow not only was the price great but i got the order in today gonna run over the range and shoot a box or two. BTW the brass is amrked blaser
DirtyDigz 1,811 Posted July 26, 2012 Received my case of 9mm today also, brass is marked "blazer" as well.
JamesC 2 Posted July 26, 2012 Does that mean that Independence bought blazer over-runs or something and put them in their own box?
Mikeythumbs 1 Posted July 26, 2012 Does that mean that Independence bought blazer over-runs or something and put them in their own box? I dont know i would think they are just using blazer brass or maybe its like american eagle made by federal but diff box diff brand(i think its federal that makes eagle )
Mikeythumbs 1 Posted July 26, 2012 Went and put 100 rds of it down range today seems good no problems no jams. Have not cleaned the gun yet so I can't tell you how dirty it is or not but if it was on sale I woul buy a case of I again

Duppie 73 Posted August 15, 2012 Just order it and keep your mouth shut dude.. I wish it was that simple....I have a history of going perhaps a bit overboard {my current collection of chef's knives stand at 32 even after giving some away} so she found the 4k of 9mm in my closet but has yet to find the .38s and .357s in the garage.I'm a man under constant surveillance. Anselmo 87 Posted August 17, 2012 i shot 550 rounds of Independence 9mm 124gr through my XD. i found it to be very clean. wish i bought more when i had the chance. I shot 4 boxes of Independence. They all went bang. No problems. Haven't gotten around to gun cleaning yet. Maybe this weekend. How many rounds do you need to shoot to tell the difference between dirty and clean ammo? They all seem the same to me.
