Mags for Stag Arms AR15

Buying my first AR15, a Stag model 3. Ive noticed so m any different brands of mags, what should I get ? Not looking to break the bank, for now just casual shooting.

 

Also can someone guide me toward decent ammo that wont break the bank.

As far as ammo goes, just search around and see what's on sale. You can usually find PMC for a decent price. Sometimes Federal XM193 can be had under 325 a case.

Magpul 15/20s worked perfectly in my Stag model 4 while i had it.

The 10 round metal mags have been good to me. I have a 15 round plastic Thermo mag. No problems so far but lots of complaints about them online.

another recommendation for Arms-N-Ammo mags, P mags are good too its just what you prefer in terms of looks and material.

Arms n Ammo would be my first choice. Stag also sells 30's pinned to 10. Wish they were 15's though..

I just ran a class and had problems in my Stag with the MidwestPX 15/20s IF I loaded them fully to 15 rounds...first round wouldn't always strip off correctly. If loaded only to 14 rounds I never had this problem.

 

I also ran the metal 15 rounders from Arms&Ammo and never had any issues with them.
