Hi Everyone,

After 25 Years away, my interest in sport-shooting returned last spring...

Love to shoot pistols mostly...

I have a Bereta PX4 45cal, Sig-1911 Traditional TacOps 45cal.

Also a Wilson-Combat Tactical Elite on the way...

USN-Vet with "Sharpshooters" medal...

Looking to get into combat/moving-shooting competition soon...Is there anywhere in NJ to do this?

Thanks,

-Joe

USPSA this Saturday (8/4) at Shongum

USPSA Sunday (8/12) at CJRPC

IDPA three gun Sunday (8/12) at Old Bridge

IDPA Sunday (8/19) at SCFGPA

There are others, but you get the idea.

Adios,

Thanks For the Warm-Welcome Everyone!

I will update my profile to show that I live near Tom's River....

Pizza Bob, I see the CJR&P Club USPSA Event on the12th you posted...I just checked their site and it says it is open to public!

Didn't realize this stuff was so close by...

Gives me the motivation I need to join CJR&P...(Currently member of Shore Shot an indoor pistol range).

Any of the USPSA or IDPA matches are open to the public. You may pay a reduced entry fee if you are a member of the sponsoring club, but all are open to the public at large. If you are new to IDPA and/or USPSA you will be required to go through a safety briefing prior to your first match. Both IDPA and USPSA will allow you to shoot a match before becoming a member of the sanctioning body. Membership in both USPSA and IDPA is $40 annually. USPSA has a little better deal in that you can join at a match ($40) and shoot the match for free. Match entry fees are usually $10 - $20 and some clubs (more & more lately) require pre-registration in order to shoot, although most will do their best to accommodate walk-ons.
