A Good HandGun Safe?

Recommended Posts

I would recommend one of these. I opted for the regular Gun Vault and not the bio-metric due to the difference in cost.

Holds two handguns, 4 magazines, a magazine for the AR15 and two boxes of shells for the Remy 870.

5' barrel? Wow, you might need a rifle safe.

Anyway, I use a Barska biometric safe. Mid size (they have different sizes for your purpose). The technology works great. I programmed all my fingers and wifes fingers. Works eveytime, with every finger. I have 100% confidence in it.

But for just 1 pistol: http://www.amazon.com/Barska-AX11620-Mini-Biometric-Safe/dp/B004XSB5TK/ref=pd_sim_sbs_sg_1

I have a larger Barska biometric, a single gun digital Bulldog, and a single gun Ft. Knox simplex lock. The Barska works great for regular storage but I wouldn't recommend it for quick access. My favorite is the Ft. Knox. Very quick access and the best built of the 3.

+1 on Fort Knox. I love mine.
