Bully 749 Posted October 18, 2012 Nice collection. Just a quick question, but does the 220st .45 shoot lead reloads? Or, is it not recommended similar to Glocks? C

Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted October 18, 2012 Nice collection. Just a quick question, but does the 220st .45 shoot lead reloads? Or, is it not recommended similar to Glocks? C Sig uses conventional rifling and as such should be GTG with cast bullets. The Glock prohibition on lead stems from their use of polygonal rifling. Took me a few minutes to find it but this is a good read on the facts, make up your own mind: Polygonal Rifling and Lead

FLHX 1 Posted October 18, 2012 I didn't know the 220 came in a 9mm, I thought they were only .45!! Is this an older pistol? something that was just made In West Germany?

zoid 24 Posted October 18, 2012 How do you like the CCR finish? I was thinking of doing it to my Beretta. That is a fine collection. I think Sig fans have the most extensive collections. Well, after 1911 guys, haha.
Tactical Turtle 11 Posted October 18, 2012 I need to get moving on more hand gun permits so i can start a sexy collection like you
Jamie6607 0 Posted October 18, 2012 Wow, I'm loving the SIG's with the wood grips...I'm getting a 226 Enhanced Elite myself, doing an all out search at the moment. I may have to look into some wood grips for it eventually but I may buy a 229 first, before I do any customizations.
RubberBullets 65 Posted October 18, 2012 Conversely I was never a fan of wood grips, but lovely steel none-the-less. Sigs are a collection I wouldnt mind having, now a glock collection just looks like you've been saving the prizes in your cracker jack boxes
Dan 177 Posted October 18, 2012 Ira can get you a GREAT deal! Damn you Ron. I just emailed Ira, I'll see what he comes back with.
Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted October 18, 2012 I didn't know the 220 came in a 9mm, I thought they were only .45!! Is this an older pistol? something that was just made In West Germany? Besides .45 ACP they were available in 9mm .38 Super and, if memory serves, .30 Luger (very rare). I believe that Jared's 9mm P220 started life as something else and was converted to 9 mm by the importer, which is why it's stamped, "Assembled by..." I think they were .38 Supers originally, but not 100% sure. Jared can probably enlighten us. Adios, Pizza Bob
