"good deal if youre headed/close to PA."

GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!! my buddy is spending thanksgiving in Florida and was thinking about one of the deals so he went yesterday to check it out, and there response was "we try not to get involved in things like that (shipping to an FFL), its very complicated". He told the guy "its no prob ill go somewhere where they know what there doing". Apparently its called DICKS for a reason, even in a state where guns arent frowned upon those idiots stil make it a nightmare.

Has anyone seen in AR for sale at any dicks in New Jersey?

I checked multiple locations (via their ads) and the New Jersey circulars don't include the the Troy 5.56 as they do in PA. Weird thing is that Troy also produced and shipped compliant versions to Dicks so I don't know where those are being sold.

i'm an AR newbie.. can someone comment on the quality of that Troy rifle? Like is that a super sweet deal? Or can an equal quality be built for same in NJ ?

again, i'm a rookie on AR's i'm only starting now to learn about polymer vs aluminum lowers, and buffers and barrels and stuff..

I went to Dicks in Easton PA and Allentown PA on Wed. night. Both were nighmares in terms of customer service. Neither store would sell me the troy desense because it was their store policy even though i told them about my 2nd residence in pa. Both stores told me they can't and or won't order the post ban model for me. I did buy a pardner pump and a ruger 10/22 at the Allentown store though.

I have bought a bunch of long guns from Dick's over the past 2-3 years, I think like 6? And I think half and half Jersey store / PA Store. And the PA store refuses to sell an AR, even the NJ compliant versions. My famous story was in Feb 2010 I had saved a bunch of money for having received my paperwork just recently, and I went out shopping looking to make my collection a little. Dick's in Oxford Valley Mall sold me a M930SPX, but the next day when I went back to buy a Remington R-15 that caught my eye, one of the managers stopped me at the checkout with my card in hand ABOUT TO SWIPE screaming "No nono noooonoo onooooooo YOU CANT HAVE THAT" and in the nick of time he prevented the sale saying it was illegal to own in NJ. He refunded my NICS money and gave me a $50 gift card and said Sorry dude .

Turns out the M930SPX was not Jersey legal off the shelf but the Remington R-15 model I had picked out was perfectly fine.

Now in retrospect, I have always thought I did okay. And the next day after not buying the R-15 I lost my job suddenly, so having the extra $1100 or so for the rifle and say $400 or so in extras I was spending, well, that %1500 was big to still have. But i Wanted my damned Remington camo AR. at the time I was pretty ticked. Especially when I found out it was all good.

      Hello Gents,

I'm selling my (like new) AR mid length complete upper receiver chambered in 300BLKOUT 7.62 × 35mm manufactured by Special Ops Tactical.  Only put approximately 100 rounds through it. For those of you who don't know, this basically will fit on most AR lowers and uses the same AR magazines but gives you a .30 caliber (7.62 x 35) by just swapping the upper receiver if you are looking for a heavier load and more knock down power for hunting etc. (obviously state laws apply). I'm only selling it because I ended up buying a complete .30 caliber rifle.

      Here are some specs:

300 BLK Out Nitride - 14.5″ Pinned to 16" Overall Midlength Upper
GPX 12.6" MLOK Free Floating Rail System with continuous 1913 Picatinny rail on top
Muzzle Brake Original "Black Magic" 30 Cal (pinned & welded NJ legal).
      {Nitride} M4 Extended Feed Ramps
      Nitride M4 Barrel Extension
      1:7 Twist Rate
      5/8×24 Thread Pitch
      Raptor Charging Handle

      Price: $695

Pm or email me with any questions: [email protected]
      I am in Deptford NJ.
THE FIRST TO POST "I'LL TAKE IT" WINS THE SALE.
A "PM sent" DOES NOT ESTABLISH THE SALE. If you want the item, post "I'll take it" and should the deal fall apart the seller can post "still available." Should you reach a negotiated price via PM then post "I'll take it per our PM(s)"  on this thread.
