wouldn't want to get caught at home, caught at the range, pulled over on the way to the range. do i really have to go on? i can't even beleive you would call me out on that comment. i meant what i said, i wouldn't want to be found with it.

the people at my work in delaware say things along the same line to me. "don't worry about it, you won't get caught" or "its not like they're gonna raid your house". yeah thats true, but guess what, i'd rather be scared of my own shadow than go to jail for 7 years.

Bro, some people think 15 round mags are illegal, AR's are illegal, semi-auto shotguns are illegal, pistol griped shotguns are illegal. So, no matter what you buy in this state, some know-it-all is gonna tell you it's illegal. Relax papi, when they come to collect all the firearms I'm sure you'll be more than happy to surrender them as long as you don't get in any trouble. Because they ALL will be illegal some day.

He said in his opinion it is legal, therefore I am assuming if he considers it legal, as an FFL he would sell it to a customer.

I might be knowledgeable about this item, but I am not stupid. Hell no, I won't transfer it to you. I want to keep my license for awhile yet.

IMHO, it is legal to own in NJ as it is not "substantially identical" to anything on the "assault weapon" list. However, the NJAG put the 1996 Directive into the Administrative Code which all NJ dealers must follow or risk losing their license. Good luck.

Not unlike the US Carbine, I believe that it is NJ legal, but I won't sell it.

I don't think he's a lawyer or judge. But on this forum he is one of the most knowledgeable people when it comes to NJ gun laws. He said in his opinion it is legal, therefore I am assuming if he considers it legal, as an FFL he would sell it to a customer. And if the PLR-16 wasn't so f-ing ugly I'd buy one.

You need to re-read his post again........

if you'd rather be dead or in jail because you wouldn't give up your guns when (if) they make them ALL illegal than more power to you. yeah, i DON'T want to give up my guns, but if it came to having a firefight with the man or going to jail for a very VERY long time, i'll choose life. i have a family, which is one of the reasons i HAVE guns but that point becomes moot when i'm dead or locked away.

and what are you doing that the popo has to look in your car? maybe you shouldn't own guns then

sometimes the officer feels he should check out the car, its happened to me at a routine DUI checkpoint. if you've nothing to hide then why put up a fight? if you want to make a scene of it and make them get a warrent all your doing is creating more of a headache for yourself and the officer... unless of course you have something you shouldn't (like a plr-16 for example)....

love the "you shouldn't own guns" comment, by the way.....

i'm not giving up any constitutional rights by CONSENTING to search. if things go too far then it becomes what we call HARASSMENT.

a lot of people on this board seem to feel the need to make smart ass comments because others feel differently than they do, and not just to me. its getting pretty irritating.

I wouldn't make no one search my trunk if there's no probable cause!! Plus I would fight for rights bc there here for a reason and for things to change we need to speaking. If not nothing will ever change but for he worst!

Sounds like this kind of attitude is the reason nothing will ever change in this state. People are scared of their own shadow when it comes to guns.

Someone telling you it's okay to have a prohibited firearm because you're not robbing anyone with it is TERRIBLE advice. I love Ray Ray as a brother, but he's way off on that one. Was Brian Aitken on his way to rob a supermarket with the firearm in his trunk? Nope. So how did that work out for him with not being afraid of his shadow? Oh yeah. 5 years in prison.

His mom ratted him out and called PoPo. Said he has issues.

Telling an officer who asks to search your vehicle "NO" is not making a scene, and unless you have an obvious reason for them to search your vehicle in the first place they are not going to be issued a search warrant. You denying to consent to a search is not grounds to get a search warrant.

I stand by my original statement, if you don't agree I don't care.....keep writing you congressmen once a year surely good things are right around the corner.

ETA: When I say "I don't care" I'm not being smug or an asshole, just nothing good can further come from this thread. It should have been locked/deleted hours ago.

I must have missed the part where constitutional rights have anything to do with owning firearms that illegal in this state.

And yes this thread should have been locked since it was determined the firearm in question cannot be owned legally in NJ.

you are correct, and maybe i went a little on the extreme with my explanation, but only for the sake of making a valid point. i do agree with you though.

There are 2 things that make this gun not worth the money or trouble. It's ugly and it's a kel-tec pistol. How ever you should have the right to purchase it because you have the right to the pursuit of happiness and such......just not in SRNJ (socialist Republic of New Jersey).
