Guys,
I'm looking for a new wheels. Ideally, I want an SUV that would have a comfortable ride on a highway. 0 to 60 in less then 6 seconds is nice to have, but not a requirement.
My job requires frequent trips from NJ to PA or Boston. Occasionally, I want to be able to take it off-road. I have never done it before but would like this as family bonding activity.
I know it will come up but I think the Wrangler is too spartan for me, and I test drove 4Runner SR5 and didn't really liked it. So with that said, I will really appreciate your insight and recommendations :). Oh BTW I'm coming from G35x which I love but..
Thank you in advance.

My GF's car has some pretty foggy/oxidized headlights. I've been doing some internet digging on ways to fix the problem aside from new housings.
So, I wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with some of the kits available for lens restoration for oxidized housings. I have heard good things about the Sylvania kit.
There is also the simple do it yourself way with some automotive wet-dry high grit ( ie 2000-3000grit) sandpaper, soapy water and then some plastic polishing compound ( equivalent to 5000 grit I think).
Thanks for any help/opinions.

Anyway, as some of you may know, my '97 Maxima is currently sitting around until I can get it fixed after being rear-ended by a Mays landing driving instructor. Though this probably happened the other day (as my mom mentioned her car being broken into again) I just noticed about an hour ago that my car was broken into, and that stuff was scattered around inside.
I think they first looked through my glove compartment, since everything in there was emptied out onto the seat. The funny thing is, my center console hardly had anything moved around in it. Only the papers at the very top were taken out of the console, and left on the driver's seat, it also looks like they got out of there in a hurry since they left a set of sunglasses and a phone charger in my car.
The papers at the top of my center console? NRA membership papers I never sent in XD.
Oh, and before you ask, no, we didn't bother calling the police, car break-ins have been going on around me for a few months with regularity. The last time my mom's car was broken into, they ended up releasing the guy with no charges despite his lengthy criminal record of drugs/theft/assault charges.
As usual, the police around here are worthless for anything but traffic violations.

It's not an estimate, it's a promise. NJ is the worst in the nation in so many ways.

This "senior" left almost 5 years ago ... for this reason Just wish all the NJ/NY transplants up here would realize there's a reason they left.

A deal like that might convince me to buy a Glock, too....

I’ve lived in my current house six years and they sent an inspector once, some time around when the lockdowns were starting to lift. They sent a postcard ahead of time, it said something like, “if you don’t let them in we’ll assume you added ten bedrooms and all your toilets are solid gold and tax you accordingly” (paraphrasing, obviously)

From your lips to God’s ear. Or whatever the internet version of that is.
