I'm fortunate enough were my hard-core purchasing has ceased, even though my collection is a very very small one, considering what you folks here have. So, it's not that I would save a bunch of coin or anything like that. If firearms were to go away, I'd have to take the path of learning bow/crossbow/etc. I guess I'd have to invest in a few baseball bats for close-up defense situations.

Shooting my compound bow is just as much fun as a pistol IMO. And way cheaper.
