tony357 386 Posted December 22, 2012 That is an interesting story, What if those guns were trophies from our troops who invaded Sadams palace?
A-Tech 8 Posted December 22, 2012 That is an interesting story, What if those guns were trophies from our troops who invaded Sadams palace? Still illegal. I'm sure someone from the UN will chime in about this being "the very problem in the world with guns"
gunguy1960 2 Posted December 22, 2012 Soldiers should be allowed to bring back anything they want, provided they are forced to sell it on this website.

Maksim 1,504 Posted December 23, 2012 But you can take it and use it while in the sandbox right? A friend of mine during his first tour in Iraq had a captured SVD he had with him. He did mention he could not bring it back. What a shame,,, would be a nice 10k right there.

halbautomatisch 60 Posted December 23, 2012 Even if you buy stuff over there, because of the GCA of 68, they cannot bring home any modern firearms, antiques are OK to send home.

Clintoon Eastwood 2 Posted December 23, 2012 Thats a stupid rule in my opinion. A soldier should be able to take a "trophy" firearm back home as long as its somewhat legal in the states. To me a soldier that actually volunteered his life to fight for "US" and actually went through a firefight, should be able to take back something. Like back in the days. FYI, I was never a soldier nor wanted to be one. I have too many family members that are in service as we speak, even 30 plus years in it now. I give them the utmost respect for doing so, because I know I would never have the cojones to do what they are doing.
