SHY_Veritas 0 Posted December 24, 2012 So I know you have to have the muzzle brake permanently fixed to a barrel in NJ. I want to get a Daniel Defense barrel with a Yankee Hill muzzle brake. They obviously wont ship to NJ. Anyone know how I can get this barrel with the muzzle brake on it? Or am I SOL?
hiker88 22 Posted December 24, 2012 try rainierarms.com... you might be able to find the barrel you want and they offer muzzle brake pinning service in-house. Of course, like any ar parts vendor out there, they are pretty slammed right now trying to keep up with orders.

The barrel alone is perfectly legal, as long as you don't yet have the rest of the parts to build the AR. I added one to my cart on DD's website and got a shipping quote, no restrictions mentioned. If you do have the rest of the parts, have the barrel and brake shipped to your FFL/Gunsmith of choice.
Clintoon Eastwood 2 Posted December 24, 2012 I think they will ship even a whole upper as long as its not connected to a lower.
SHY_Veritas 0 Posted December 24, 2012 I called DD last week and they said their barrels aren't NJ compliant and they won't ship anything to NJ. I called twice and got that answer twice.

Did you ask if they can remove the muzzle? Just to ship it with out one?
SHY_Veritas 0 Posted December 24, 2012 Id love some help. Depends on whether or not I have to come pick it up lol. You're 2 hours away from me. Also what would it cost me?
Vlad G 345 Posted December 24, 2012 Also, DD's barrels aren't really their barrels, they have them made, probably by FN like so many others, do don't feel limited in buying from them.
SHY_Veritas 0 Posted December 24, 2012 Thanks for the tip vlad and everyone else. I checked rainierams.com. They're sold out of barrels.
alowerlevel 77 Posted December 25, 2012 You could always have the barrel shipped to adco and have them do it, just make sure that you have everything that need to go onto the barrel as well (barrel nut, delta ring etc) http://www.adcofirearms.com/shopservices/
