Poll: If you have contacted Politicians about Feinstein Ban - please post here.

Recommended Posts

Sent to my rep and the to senators. Already sent several other comments to the white house.

According to the FBI statistics for 2011, 12 times as many people are murdered with knives, blunt objects and bare hands, or other non-firearm weapons, as with rifles of any type. Please WITHDRAW your support for any so-called assault weapons ban, any expanded registration of firearms, or any magazine capacity limits. Our right to arms is guaranteed by the Bill of Rights and affirmed by the Supreme Court. I OPPOSE efforts to further infringe this right.

Stop emailing. Email is nearly worthless. Call the office of one of your reps and ask them how much weight they give to emails. And while you're on the phone with them, make your feelings known.

Yes, I emailed my Senators and Obama.

Mipafox, not to be argumentative but my son interned for Leonard Lance for 2 years while he was in high school and logged many phone calls, emails and letters. All have the same weight. Emails are NOT pointless. In fact our representatives have a file for everyone that contacts them containing what the contact was regarding and what your opinion was. Some are much thicker then others :-)

If you can actually get Menendez, Lautenberg, Lance or Obama personally on the phone then you're a far better man then I.

I meet with State Reps, Senators, and mostly their staff by the hundreds every year.  Few recognize me on sight but some recognize my voice (not caller ID) which is a little creepy LOL :) All the ones I talk to say phone calls and letters are more important.  They barely even scan the emails for up or down if they are political, because they are usually mass generated or by whipped up internet people.  They only read the emails if they are personal constituent issues, rather than political. Maybe there is something strange about the legislators and their staff in my Commonwealth.  If you want to find out for yourself, we can carpool to this: http://www.2arally.com/ And we also have a rally/lobbying event in the works for the end of January/early February.  I'd love to have you along with us to share experiences and speak with our legislators.

Yes, I should have clarified, they need to be "real" emails not the mass generated type. I send mine and include my name, address and phone number. And yeah, I'm planning on attend a similar rally in Trenton. Wish I lived in a free commonwealth like you do. Darn work, making money, thing keeps getting in the way.

I have signed, Emailed, mailed, facebook posted, and Joined as much as I can find. Still looking for and finding more to do daily.

I signed several copies of the same petitions on the Gov website. We need to make sure we don't create duplicates of the same petitions and water down the results.

Facebook is a great tool. Every politician has a page that we can post on.

https://www.facebook.com/GovChrisChristie

https://www.facebook.com/senatormenendez

https://www.facebook.com/franklautenberg

https://www.facebook.com/SenatorFeinstein

https://www.facebook.com/joebiden

As much as we should write to those on this list that do not support 2A, we should right to all that do to remind them how important this is.

Yep, contacted all local, state and federal representatives. In addition, I contacted all Democratic Senators with terms ending in 2015 notifying them that myself and my counterparts are personally funded and well organized and will, if they support any part of the difi awb, donate generously to their opponent in the 2014 election.

So they can deal with us, those that aren't their constituents, the NRA and the GOA.

Yes. Numerous emails, have included other than my d-14 critters, bohner good latte (head of the senate or house justice committee). After the emails, I wrote letters to local reps (gov, Lt. Gov, nj reps) about concealed carry laws and castle doctrine. And letters to national (Pres, congressman, senators) including Good latte and bohner. More emails today. And have enrolled and have been commenting on popvox.

Keep up the fight everyone. Media is waning for the anti's and they are starting to commit gaffes to the soccer moms, namely the NY permit list. Write/email/fax/and call your reps. Let your voice be heard. That is the great part about this country, we can still speak up as loud as we want.

Feinstien's ban doesn't mean a thing. There are 11 anti firearm bills in the House since Thursday. If they go through on a single vote, they will be law. If they don't, them Feinstein's bill probably doesn't have a chance.

Contact Boehner and you House reps:

Office of the Speaker

H-232 The Capitol

Washington, DC 20515

Phone: (202) 225-0600\

Find your House reps here and call them NOW:

http://capwiz.com/gunowners/dbq/officials/

Use your telephone now. Give them your name and zip code.

Address and telephone number and a demand for a response committing to your principles may or may not help. The latter usually is more effective when you DROP BY THEIR OFFICES LOCAL TO YOU DURING THE COURSE OF YOUR WEEK.

Some of these bills and proposals have dim support, check out

https://www.popvox.com/bills#issue=175

There is a listing of current federal bills and proposals relating to firearms. It takes three minutes to log on and voice your support pro or con for all of these!!!

I am going to post this on a few topics as not everyone reads, subscribes or participates in all topics.

Send almost everyday

what is the war cry of the far left? "Vote early and vote often?" We should be doing the same. I have been sending email, letters, leaving voicemails, etc... For over a month now. Thank You Granby!

Yes- emailed and snail mailed senators, congressman, the president and VP several times over the past several weeks. Called our senators office and spoke with their aids and reached out to state reps as well.
