Star Ledger wants to print gun owner info.....

Recommended Posts

Star Ledger wants to print gun owner info.

They bring out the PSH in order to get John and Jane Public on their side.

And they lament that it's not allowed under State Law, and want to press the legislature to revisit that thinking.

This is useful information for parents trying to help their children navigate a safe path in a nation with 270 million guns. The guns that Adam Lanza used to kill 26 at Sandy Hook Elementary School were legally bought and owned by his mother.

In New Jersey.........under state law, personal information about gun owners is private. That is something the Legislature should discuss in the wake of Sandy Hook.

UPDATE:

While there is no name attached to linked to editorial, dollars to donuts the author of that sludge is Tom Moran.

Oh, I'd have words... Lots of them. LARGE and legal jargon, and I would pull every single resource I've accumulated over the years. I not only mind my privacy being invaded, I would be beside myself at them making me a target of every low-life wanting to steal my firearms, especially in light of not having Castle Doctrine, considering I'm not far from the hole that is the City of Camden...

I'd like to hear what some pro 2A lawyers have to say about this. Is this even legal for them to do?

If they tried it, I would love to retire on the third I get from everyone I file for. I might even welcome the death threats from the antis, I can get my CCW, what are they going to do, nag me to death. :)

Right now the info i private. If they print it we can speak about hypotheticals.

I wouldn't put too much into it: you'll just add fuel to the fire they are trying to start.

Par for industry, Star-Ledger is struggling to stay afloat. It fired 40% of its staff 3 years ago, and its circulation plummets ever year. No reader = no advertising dollars.

Its "Editorial Staff" aren't bright people, they are just people who've been with the newspaper for a long time trying to keep their jobs afloat. Their articles have little influence: no soda for food stamp, raise taxes to buy land.

Just let it go gently into that good night.

Good riddance.

As a consolation prize, let them print this publicly available license information courtesy of PA:

I was a long time subscriber to the Star Ledger and last year cancelled my subscription as I was repulsed by their leftist editorial policy. I let them know that unless they became fair and balanced, my boycott of their rag would be for life.

As gun owners, we should band together and stop buying the Star Ledger.
