Show us your 1911's

Recommended Posts

Me too --  Mag1 -- I have to ask -- are you a working man, or retired?

You always post some of the nicest pieces and I know they aren't cheap --  You definitely have deep pockets...

Oh my god that made me laugh!

Thanks!

Why was it reblued? Was it an older model or?

Wilson just started doing in house bluing.

They sourced all their requests for bluing to Turnbull, well at least charcoal blue and CCH. They dont use Turnbull anymore. I forget the BS reasons, but Turnbull Charcoal is nice. Like to see how it compares to Wilson now.

Wilson polishes it first, and they do it the right way, then would send your pistol if you chose bluing to Turnbull.

I lied, one more 1911 on the way.... Not really into lasers, but just love the color scheme... Was either this or a SS Raptor..

This is a Colt 1911  made in 1944.  When my father passed away, he left it to me. I has two magazines with "L"  stamped  on the lip of the mags. Sorry about the pics not being all that clear. First time at this. All comments welcome, Not sure what I have here interms of grade and value.

Colt Government .45acp

& a Sig .22

I've noticed since buying and shooting 1911's, I have stopped looking at the other cases at the LGS. I go right for the 1911 gun porn now. I'm just not interested in anything else anymore.
