My knuckle is placed way forward from that and the cuts on the beavertail also helps to operate the thumb safety.

Thanks for showing me. I don't have much meat there so likely I feel it more than most ppl. I'll need to revisit my grip to see if I can reposition it. You have enough clearance to not get clipped by the slide rail?

 The one in the middle,Union Switch and Signal runs 3500-5K. Top and bottom Remington UMCs 1500-3500. Not pictured is the flagship Springfield Armory, 3500-6K. As long as all original.

These are my 2 Citadels (Armscor), They are not the most expensive 1911's ever made, but have been very reliable, and are more accurate then I am.
