<----NOOB... this is easier than knockdown steel correct? A good place to start and use .22 correct? How many mags needed? Holster ? or can u start from table (low ready) I think is the term. Again I'm new to this competitive stuff.

Oh no you didn't again. Lol

Hey Joe, I said the one time I was on vacation that I like it better than work, so I did something to be able to do that. I like it better than working all the time and the wife is happy and we all know momma needs to be happy or nobody's happy. ;)

Table for 22 and easier than knockdown. This is probably the best thing to shoot for anyone who is new or want to check out these types of shooting sports. Just go, you will have a blast, pun intended. :)

Hey Doug.

Harder/easier is a relative term, but for a beginner I'd say yes...static steel is easier. Go with a mindset of not worrying about your score (time) and have fun.

You can start from the low ready and your life will be made easier with 5 magazines. If you don't have extra's you'll need someone to top off your mags inbetween strings, and someone will usually pitch in to help.

22 is a terrific platform for static steel.

Thanks to alec.mc's endorsement, I'll be trying this out for the first time as well. Sign me in to the newbie squad.

I'll be shooting:

rimfire pistol open (buckmark w/ PA red dot)

rimfire carbine (old 10/22 with tech sights)

As a non member, that would $40 in fees, correct?

Yes, it is $20 per gun for non members.
