jamesbod 0 Posted January 26, 2013 Why is someone bidding $666 (so far) for this? Is this a collector's item? Folks are frantic to get their hands on a semi before a possible ban? Aren't there tons of Glocks floating around from LE trade-ins? Looks real ugly... http://www.gunbroker...?Item=326836512
johnp 45 Posted January 26, 2013 $666.66 hail satan On a serious note, these are crazy times. People will sell for what people will pay. If he doesn't get $1800 next week it will be $1500, until someone is scared enough to buy just in case something crazy does happen.
lunker 274 Posted January 26, 2013 First gen Glock. Collectible maybe?
NJCK 5 Posted January 26, 2013 For a Glock??? No way personally. The Gen 1 G17 is sought after by those who savor the Block, but they were selling all summer long at $500 like new in box.
9X19 125 Posted January 26, 2013 Collectible yes. $1800.00 no.

Underdog 1,593 Posted January 27, 2013 You could get 3-4 Glocks for that price. In my estimation a Glock is not a collectible. It's the finest combat handgun ever made. Except for 1911s, CZs, XDs S&W M&Ps, SIGs, Walthers, Berettas, but its just a lump of steel and plastic. Better to have two or three used in good shape in different calibers and/or a backup gun than a collectible. With careful shopping maybe even four could be had. And, the 17 really has limitations in this Garden State paradise. I think the Lone Wolf version is about $1500, and that isn't a thought either. Now, to have a Glock off papers.... well, that might be worth $1500. But, then only bad guys would do that, not law-abiding Constitutional Conservatives and libertarian-minded citizens and firearm aficionados. But in some other free states that paperless Glock might be a possibility, or maybe a nice .357. If I could sell one at that price, I would certainly be picking up two or three new ones. diamondd817 826 Posted January 27, 2013 Early single pin frame is collectible. $1800 collectible I'm not sure about.
Clintoon Eastwood 2 Posted January 27, 2013 $775 now, damn... It might have been Chuck Norris's first glock? Maybe? Because I would pay $1800 if it was
spwhite 0 Posted January 30, 2013 Personally I wouldn't pay $18.00 for one. I don't like the feel of them. I would rather the feel of my 1911 tauras
PK90 3,570 Posted January 30, 2013 I would pay $1,800 for an unfired early serial number Model 17 Gen1. I would also pay $1,800 for a Model 18, model 25, model 28, or a model 40.
